โ€ข Collaboration is the backbone of progress: Kenyaโ€™s success emerged from aligned efforts across the Central Bank, Bankers Association, lenders, development partners, and industry associations a model Uganda can strengthen further.

โ€ข Industry-wide commitment drives sustainability: Mandatory participation and unified subscription models helped Kenya eliminate cost barriers and ensure fairness in system development.

โ€ข Global standards build confidence: Alignment with IFC and ICCR principles improved data quality, governance, and consumer trust; key to strong scoring models and risk-based lending.

โ€ข Trust requires robust dispute resolution: Kenyaโ€™s TATUA Center demonstrated how structured resolution mechanisms protect credibility and consumer rights.

โ€ข Innovation improves data quality: Tools like the CIS Validator ensure clean, consistent, and timely data at the source;ย reducing errors and inefficiencies.

No โ€œone-size-fits-allโ€ model: Kenya learned from global best practices ; and Uganda can adapt what works best for our market context.

Mr. Getenga concluded with a message of confidence: With Ugandaโ€™s momentum and CRBAโ€™s collaborative leadership, we have the opportunity not only to matchย but to surpass regional advancements in credit reporting.
